Policies and Procedures

The Norwayne Media Center operates on a partial-flexible schedule:  Teachers may sign classes up for research or checkout by scheduling with the media center staff.  Students may come to the media center during the walk-in times from 1:05 p.m.-1:35 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m. with signed agenda books.  A maximum of two students per classroom are allowed at one time.  

Students may check out three books for up to three weeks with one renewal.  Students will not be allowed to check out without their I.D.card.  Replacement cards may be purchased with parents' permission and a processing fee of $5.00.  Reference books are overnight checkouts only and are due back during homeroom the next day.  
Copies are 10 cents per page for black print and  25 cents per page for color print.
Students are aked to please return items promptly.  Students with overdue items or fines may not check out books.  Lost or damaged materials should be paid for as soon as possible.

Student use of the Internet, per Wayne County Policy, must be for educational purposes and does not include access to e-mail, chat, or instant messaging. Any student using a school computer for any purpose must sign and agree to the Wayne County Public Schools Acceptable Use Policy. All students using the media center computers for Internet or other purposes must have permission from the media center staff and their teacher.
